With 4th of July right around the corner, it is the perfect time to make plans with your loved ones while enjoying your local community. It is also important to remember simple safety tips to ensure everyone has a safe and fun holiday.
The 4th of July festivities start early in Mesa, with the Arizona’s celebration of Freedom in downtown Mesa. There will be classic cars, motorcycles, beer gardens, art walk, music, games, and a fireworks show for the whole family to enjoy. The fun starts at 6 p.m. and goes until 11 p.m.
At the Old Town Tavern in Scottsdale, the 4th of July party will be going on from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. The party will be featuring free hotdogs and hamburgers. There will be beach balls to throw around, as well as great live music to dance to.
The Fabulous Phoenix Fourth in Phoenix start at 6 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m. at the Steele Indian School Park. There will be three stages that will feature live local entertainment, free inflatable rides, a Kids Zone, and a “Hurricane Mister” area where you can cool off from the hot summer heat. There will also be a classic car exhibit and spectacular Patriotic Program. There will be more than 50 vendors selling food, beverages and more. Make sure to stick around until 9:30 when the fireworks show starts.
It is also important to make sure everyone stays safe this 4th. Make sure to always supervise children while they are playing around water. If you are having your own backyard barbecue, never leave you lit grill unattended, or let small children or animals play around the grilling area. If you are putting on your own fireworks show, make sure to do so in an open area, away from any flammable materials, such as buildings or dry grass.
